Chickpea Medley
Chickpea is a wonderful source of iron, protein, copper, zinc, frolic acid, fiber - the list is pretty endless :)
Below is a chickpea recipe you can use for your little ones.
Ingredients:
1 cup chickpeas
1/4 onion
1/2 tomato
1-2 stems of coriander
1/8 tsp tamarind paste (optional)
1/8 tsp cumin powder (optional)
1 tbsp oil
Method:
Soak chickpeas overnight. Boil and set aside once tender.
In a pot, heat oil and add onions. Add tomatoes once onions look cooked.
Once tomatoes look tender, add tamarind paste and cumin powder.
Add the cooked chickpeas and sit fry for a few more minutes.
Before serving sprinkle chopped coriander and mix.

*boiled chickpeas make for wonderful finger food. Set some aside and let you little one snack independently. However, stay close as there is always a risk of choking.
